This guide will show you how to replace the Motorola Minitor V
speaker and/or the vibrator. Warning: We provide no technical support beyond this web page. If you attempt this procedure we will not assist you in any way, either on the phone or by e-mail. Proceed at your own risk! |
First you will need to disassemble the Minitor V pager. If you don't know how, see our disassembly guide. | |
Pull off the rubber gasket on the Minitor V front housing. This is held in place by a small amount of adhesive. |
Remove the vibrator assembly. Be careful not to lose the gold contacts and springs. They will fall out when you remove the vibrator. |
Remove the speaker from the front housing. Inspect the front speaker grill and tap the front housing to dislodge any trapped dirt. |
To reassemble - Put the gold contact and spring in the black plastic holder. The rounded long end of the gold contact goes in first followed by the spring. Align the hole in the speaker with the tab on the vibrator assembly. |
Hold the front housing upside down in the air, then press the vibrator/speaker assembly in place. Warning: We provide no technical support beyond this web page. If you attempt this procedure we will not assist you in any way, either on the phone or by e-mail. Proceed at your own risk! |
